Free Tax Assistance Expands to Penn Branch Center

WASHINGTON, DC - The District of Columbia Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR) continues its offering of free tax assistance to District residents at its one-stop customer service centers. In addition to being welcomed at the 941 North Capitol Street, NE center on the first floor, customers are also encouraged to visit the new Penn Branch customer service walk-in center, located in the rear of the Penn Branch shopping center at Branch Avenue, SE in the Municipal Services Building. District residents are reminded to bring a completed federal tax return with them and any other tax related documents.

Both customer service centers are open Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 4:30 pm, and customer service representatives are available to assist taxpayers with all of their tax issues. OTR added the new Penn Branch walk-in center last December, in its ongoing efforts to provide more convenient service for District residents.

"Our goal is to conveniently provide our customers with the information and services they need to meet their tax obligations," said Deputy Chief Financial Officer Herbert J. Huff. "We are certain that the Penn Branch customer service center will help us in our efforts to meet the diverse needs of our customers."
