The DC Office of Tax and Revenue has resumed processing of all tax refunds, releasing more than 4,500 refunds. The suspension in the issuance of tax refunds was due to the federal government shutdown.
Taxpayers who filed their returns by the October 15 extension deadline should allow two weeks for their returns to be processed and refunds issued.
Taxpayers requesting assistance should visit the Customer Service Walk-in Center at 1101 4th Street, SW, Suite W250 or call (202) 727-4TAX (4829).
