Office of Tax and Revenue

In observance of the holiday, OTR’s Walk-In Center and Call Center will close at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 24. Taxpayers can continue to complete transactions online at MyTax DC. Regular business hours will resume on Friday, December 26.

OTR will host its annual Tax Practitioner’s Institute on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, beginning at 9 am. The workshop will be offered in a hybrid format, with an in-person session and a virtual option via Microsoft Teams. The seminar is free, but registration is required. Register here.

OTR to Hold Annual Tax Practitioner’s Institute Workshop on January 13, 2026

(Washington, DC) -  The Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR) will host its annual Tax Practitioner’s Institute on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, beginning at 9 am. The workshop will be offered in a hybrid format, with an in-person session at 1101 4th St. SW, Suite W250, and a virtual option via Microsoft Teams. The seminar is free, but registration is required.

DC Office of Tax and Revenue Offers Federal Employees and Contractors Temporary Relief from Collection Actions

(Washington, DC) -  The DC Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR) is offering temporary relief for federal employees and contractors during the ongoing federal government shutdown. The program is designed to assist those experiencing financial hardship as a result of the federal shutdown by suspending certain collection actions and allowing for deferred payment options.
