The DC Office of Tax and Revenue's Real Property Tax Administration (RPTA) uses its Maps and Title GIS program to provide property maps, data, and services to property owners, the public, and government agencies. These tools help people find property locations, view maps, and access specific government data.
What You Can Do:
-
Search Property Information: Use the DC OTR Real Property Assessment Map Search to look up property details like assessments, sales, property ID (Square-Suffix-Lot), property type, wards, and more.
-
Find Addresses: The Master Address Repository is a searchable database of DC addresses and related property IDs.
-
Access Open Data: Download and analyze mapping layers and datasets from DC agencies at DC Open Data.
Other Services:
- Request Radius or Tax Maps: For a fee, you can get maps showing a property and nearby properties within 200 feet, plus a list of owners and mailing addresses at Request and Pay for Radius Maps and Tax Maps. These maps are often needed for zoning cases.
- Combine or Divide Lots: Apply to create new Assessment and Taxation (A&T) lots at Submit a Combination or Division of Lots Application. If approved, they become active in the next half tax year.
Important Notes:
- GIS Glossary - Learn common mapping terms.
- Data Disclaimer: The data is for property assessment purposes only. The District does not guarantee accuracy for other uses.
