If you have a balance due on your District of Columbia individual income tax return this season, the Office of Tax and Revenue allows the use of electronic checks and credit cards, in addition to making payment by mail. These payment options can also be used when paying declarations of estimated tax for individuals or past due income taxes.
Official Payments Corporation will charge taxpayers a nominal fee for the credit card transaction based on 2.5 percent of the transaction amount.
