Customer Service Telephone Center Is Experiencing a High Volume of Calls

The Office of Tax and Revenue’s Customer Service Telephone Center is experiencing a high volume of calls today. To assist you in addressing your tax matters, please see the instructions below for individual income and real property taxes.

Individual Income Refunds

Taxpayers requesting the status of their 2010 District of Columbia individual income tax refund may do so by clicking on the “Refund Status” icon, located at www.taxpayerservicecenter.com, or by using the Interactive Voice Response System available at (202) 727-4TAX (Prompt 3).

Real Property Tax Assessments

The 2012 assessment notices include the assigned assessor’s contact information. Property owners are encouraged to contact the assessor directly.
