The Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR) will extend its service hours on Monday, April 15, to help District residents meet their tax obligations. The customer service centers will be open from 8 am to 6 pm.

Free preparation of District individual income tax returns is available at the walk-in center at 1101 4th Street, SW, on the second floor (adjacent to the Green Line Metrorail - Waterfront-SEU). Simply bring a copy of your completed federal tax return, supporting W-2 forms and schedules, and a valid driver’s license or state identification. Taxpayers who may need additional time to file their tax returns are reminded that they can submit and pay their FR-127 Extension of Time for Individual Income Tax online via the Electronic Taxpayer Service Center (ETSC).  Taxpayers can also use ETSC to file and make payments of D-40ES Estimated Payments for Individual Income Tax.  Links to these forms are listed below:
